Manchester City V Chelsea Highlights

WEB Report and highlights as Cole Palmer's stoppage-time spot kick secures a 4-4 draw for Chelsea in a stunning game against Man City

Substitute Cole Palmer's stoppage-time penalty rescued a point for Chelsea in a pulsating 4-4 draw with Manchester City

The match was billed as a heavyweight clash between the Premier League's top two sides, and it lived up to its billing with end-to-end action and a dramatic finale.

Erling Haaland gave City the lead twice in the first half, but Chelsea responded on both occasions through Raheem Sterling and Hakim Ziyech. Christian Pulisic put the hosts ahead for the first time just after the hour mark, but Riyad Mahrez levelled for City with 20 minutes remaining.

Chelsea thought they had won it when Kai Havertz headed home in the 89th minute, but Palmer had the final say when he converted from the spot after a handball by Marc Cucurella.

The draw means that City remain top of the Premier League table, one point ahead of Arsenal, while Chelsea move up to third, a further point behind.
